A week or so ago Tony and I were driving around, searching for reactions to the trash pickup fee when we stumbled upon this house. We started chatting with Janet about the fee when she mentioned her unique home. We didn't think anything of it while standing on her front lawn. She invited us in and initially we declined because of time constraints. Then at the last minute we agreed to take a tour. Tony and I were absolutely amazed. It's like one of Toledo's secrets. The Hoyts have put over $400,000 into the home and are selling it for $189,000. I posted the entire "walk-through" video with Janet Hoyt of the Biltmore replica house. It's around 10 minutes long so please allow time to load.

The Hoyts have a home which is so unique and beautifully done. They can only hope that whoever buys the home will appreciate the creativity and hard work that it took to build and create it. I very much enjoyed the video. I wonder if they have ever considered submitting the house to the HGTV show called "Look What I Did"
Hi Janet..We're neighbors (4715). We're sorry to hear you're moving even though we don't personally know each other. We have watched your beautiful house grow through the years and will miss watching the changes each spring. We will also miss seeing the rocket come fall. We know football season is close when we would see it in the driveway! Good luck in the new chapter of your lives.

Amazing that someone would waste "over $400,000" and throw that $$ away. It's like white trash winning the lotto. They overdid the house. There is barely even a driveway. the word tacky comes to mind.
Bruce is a really talented individual. What a shame that he has to move from Toledo. Bruce and his Dad built the house a Rocket and a bookmobile for their love of their team the Toledo Rockets. He was born and raised here and has to move away from his family because of the changes in the structure of the company he has worked for for over 20 years. Bruce thank you for shareing your passion with us over the years. We will miss you.
The artist who did the ceiling mural is a local man..Don Evans...he's extremely talented and stuck working a 'real' job. If you'd like a wall or ceiling mural done...or any other artistic need...call him at 419 464-2170. He's my brother and said I could post his number.
This house is soooooooo unique and the people behind it talented/I understand why someone would put $ into their dream not knowing they would ever have to move, It is not a waste and those people are not white trash!!!!! If they were they would not even bother to do anything to their home! They would let it go like so many in that area/God bless you for making your dreams come true and uplifting the neighborhood

I know both Bruce and his Dad, who helped him build this house. Both of them are quality individuals and are both richer than any lottery winner because of the timt they spent together building Bruces dream. What a shame other people cannot experience this.
